Pollen analysis and radiocarbon measurements of nekron-mud from the base of a 5 m deep organic deposit in a pot-hole on Furuberget, a rocky promontory in the lower part of the FlÄmsdalen valley, show that this part of the valley was free of ice befare 7000 B.C.
