Three asbestos minerals and a clay mineral from Kongsberg silver deposit are discussed. There is evidence of a close genetical relationship between these minerals and those deposited by the silver-bearing solutions. Tremoliteactinolite asbestos, palygorskite, sepiolite and montmorillonite are formed in a late stage of hydrothermal activity of the solutions, which also deposited the silver minerals. The problems in connection with the identification of these minerals are discussed.
