Conodont faunas are described from the middle and upper part of the Llandovery sequence in the central Oslo Region. Stratigraphically important species include Distomodus staurognathoides, Pterospathodus amorphognathoides, P. celloni, P. pennatus, Carniodus carnulus, and Apsidognathus walmsleyi. These species allow recognition of the celloni and amorphognathoides Zones, as established in Austria and present in Britain. Using faunas described herein, and previously documented collections, a conodont zonation for the Llandovery of the Oslo Region is presented. The paleoecological implications of the conodont distributions are briefly discussed.
