The blastomylonitic sequence between the Kvitenut Complex and the Dyrskard Group, Hardangervidda -Ryfylke Nappe Complex, yields a Rb-Sr whole-rock age of 1537 ± 41 m. y., interpreted as the age of thrusting and syntectonic metamorphism. Thus, Precambrian thrusts, paralleling the Caldedonian thrust planes, are involved in the Caledonian nappe complexes of southwest Norway.
