A highly plastic montmorillonite breccia rock from Skyrvedalen, Hemsedal, Central Norway, has been investigated by means of X-ray and chemical methods. The rock is found to consist of a nearly hundred percent calcium dioctahederic montmorillonite of extraordinary purity.
