The results presented are only part of a more comprehensive investigation. The aim is to learn more about the genesis of titanium (ilmenite) deposits within anorthosite complexes. The ore minerals and silicates are described in detail. Chemical analyses and trace elements are given. Modal analyses, together with the other observed facts of drill core samples, proved the inhomogenaus nature of the Bläfjell ilmenite deposit. The salient feature is that the An-content of plagioclase below 50 m is much lower and that antiperthite prevails.
