Glaciofluvial deposits overlain by some tens of metres of ground moraine are described from the Vinstra valley. The author is of the opinion that this glaciofluvial material was deposited at the beginning of the Last Glaciation. A highly consolidated till with earth pillars is described, and the deposition and consolidation of the till is discussed. The finds of mammoth remains are discussed, especially their possible site during the Last Glaciation.
